"Hey."
I automatically looked in the direction of the voice, and found myself looking straight into his clear blue eyes. I looked down at my hands and then back up at him.
"Hi," I said, shifting awkwardly.
And then he smiled at me, the charming smile that I'd been so taken by a million times before. A smile I'd once do anything for.
I blushed and found my voice. "So, you have a girlfriend."
And he laughed. His laugh had always been infectious. I smiled weakly.
"I did," he answered, swiping his hair out of his eyes. "She's around somewhere. You should meet her."
"Maybe later," I told him. "Maybe later."
I offered a smile and then backed away.
